How we teach

Three principles behind every design decision in the curriculum.

First Principles

Before Python, there's math. Before databases, there's data structures. Before you run, you walk. No skipping, no hand-waving, no 'just trust me on this.'

Cohort Learning

You progress with a group, review each other's work, and actually build community. Self-paced courses have 5–15% completion rates. Cohorts hit 40–80%. There's a reason for that.

Verified Knowledge

The Compendium is a hash-chained record of everything you do in the program. Your certificate isn't a claim — it's cryptographic evidence that you did the work.

The Compendium

Today, knowing something isn't enough — you need to prove it. Most programs hand you a certificate and ask the world to take their word for it. We thought that was kind of lazy, so we built something better.

The Compendium is a hash-chained, timestamped trail of everything you do — assignments, projects, peer teaching, open-source contributions. Every entry links to the one before it. Tamper with one and the whole chain breaks. Anyone you share it with can verify it independently.

  • Every entry is cryptographically chained to the previous one
  • Phase-level certificates — partial completion still counts
  • Private by default — you control who sees your record
